Morland Apprentice Recognised at Skills Academy Wales Awards

Morland is proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement during National Apprenticeship Week, as apprentice Nikki Wellsford was recognised at the Skills Academy Wales Awards, held at NPTC in Neath.

Nikki attended the event alongside Rachel Jones, where she proudly accepted the Level 3 Apprenticeship Award — a well-deserved acknowledgement of the dedication, commitment, and hard work she has shown throughout her apprenticeship journey.

Reflecting on her achievement, Nikki said:

“I’m really proud to be recognised as Apprentice of the Year. It’s motivated me even more to keep learning, developing my skills, and striving for excellence in everything I do. This award reflects the fantastic support and training I’ve received. Being part of such a knowledgeable and encouraging team has made all the difference.”

Nikki is also one of three Morland apprentices who have successfully completed their Level 3 qualification, alongside Holly Husbands and Niamh Forsyth, who have also recently achieved the same milestone. All three are now exploring further training and progression opportunities within Morland.

Morland is also continuing to invest in the next generation of talent, with Honey Roberts and Dan Booker currently undertaking their apprenticeships within the business.

Apprenticeships are a key pillar of Morland’s continued growth and development, with a strong focus on empowering employees to build skills, gain confidence, and progress their careers. Apprentices are encouraged to put their learning into practice through hands-on experience, guided support from colleagues and managers, and dedicated study time to help them succeed.

Morland is proud to have many managers within the business who have progressed through apprenticeships themselves, demonstrating the long-term value apprenticeships can bring when they are embraced and embedded into a company’s culture.

Congratulations again to Nikki on this outstanding achievement — we are incredibly proud and look forward to supporting her continued success at Morland.
